Social media has become an integral part of everyday life. There’s no escaping its grasp. Even in the business world, it is now a driving force for success, especially if you know how to use it.
In the business world social media accounts, like Instagram, are used to get your brand and your product out into the world faster than ever before. If you follow the right accounts, “Like” the right posts and share the right things you could find your business booming far quicker than you could have ever imagined.
Because of this, there are people out there offering their secrets for a successful social media account, for a price of course.
But the truth is, the majority of these services are little more than a way to scam you out of your hard earned money.

Is SNS-Growth everything it seems?
SNS-Growth is a company that promises to grow your Instagram presence. They claim that by using their service you will be able to grow your fan base organically without spending every waking minute of your day on your Instagram account.
How does this work? According to their website their product is a marketing tool, that will automatically interact with new followers on your behalf. This, in turn, is supposed to lead to more followers commenting, “liking” and interacting with your account.
They also claim to offer special campaign settings based on the type of account that you’re trying to grow. Although it doesn’t really tell you how these settings are supposed to be helpful.
They finish off their pitch by saying their tool is the cheapest service of this kind, making it affordable for everyone to use.
Sounds too good to be true, doesn’t it?
I didn’t get too much further into this before I started noticing problems.
This service is relatively inexpensive but doesn’t deliver what it promises.
The first major red flag in the legitimacy of this website starts with the fact that it is not a secured link.
For anyone who doesn’t know, when you go to a website on your browser there should be a little padlock in the upper left-hand corner next to the address bar. What that padlock represents is a secure link. What this means is that whatever information you enter into it should be safe and secure which is particularly important when money is involved.
If you enter information on a website without that little padlock, you’re putting yourself at risk of having that information stolen and sold off to the highest bidder. This means that your name, your email address and even your banking information can be stolen and used by someone else.
Ignoring that red flag on any website is a huge mistake. You could be handing your information over and offering it up to a complete stranger to use as they see fit. Basically the digital equivalent of walking up to a stranger in a mall, handing them an envelope with all your information and your credit card in it and hoping they don’t use it.
SNS-Growth’s website does not have this padlock. In fact, if you click where said padlock should be it will tell you that the website is not secure and in no uncertain terms that you definitely should not enter any sensitive information on it, specifically credit cards or any other banking information.
That’s not exactly a good sign considering in order to use their service you would have to enter that exact information onto their unsecured website, something you’ve just been told not to do.
If that’s not enough to make you click the back button on this website, there are more issues besides an unsecured link at play with this SNS-Growths service.
They claim that they’ll be able to bring followers to your account in record time. Growing it literally overnight, but how would they do this? They’re not magic, they can’t wiggle their collective nose’s to make people on Instagram suddenly see your account and instantly start to follow you.
The easiest way for them to guarantee their service will work and that you’ll keep paying them is fake accounts.
What that is, is an account that doesn’t actually belong to a person. These accounts are run by bots, they’re set up to automatically follow accounts, like posts and generally fake their way through the system. These accounts are usually filled with stock photos of scenic places or filled with modeling shots. If you look at their following to followers ratio these accounts will be following thousands of other accounts but likely have very few followers themselves.
They’re not too hard to spot if you know what to look for but they are a problem. Traffic on your accounts is great but if your followers are all bots than the real people that might be interested in what you have to offer are far more likely to assume your account is also fake.
Upon doing a little more digging it would also seem that these bots unfollow your Instagram just about as quickly as they followed it.
A quick search brought up tons of user reviews from people who had purchased this service and were not happy at all with the result.
These people were wooed by the professional looking website and decided to purchase some followers, the prices are modest so why not give it a whirl right?
Some of the people who paid for these followers never received them at all. Many of the ones that did get what they paid for quickly noticed that they all disappeared from their account just about as quickly as they had followed it. They offered a quick, momentary boom in traffic and then disappeared, meaning you basically paid for nothing.
Another common complaint I found was that the followers they did get were clearly fake. Like I mentioned earlier, it’s not hard to spot a fake account and having thousands of followers doesn’t mean a thing if everyone can tell they’re all fake.
These fake followers are generally set up to automatically follow new accounts which means if a real person does decide to follow your account, they’re likely to be immediately swarmed by these bots. It’s not their fault, that’s just how it’s programmed but no one wants to deal with dozens of fake profiles suddenly wanting their attention.
The SNS-Growth website looks polished and professional. Their package prices are also reasonable enough to be tempting, especially if you’re new to Instagram and looking to gain followers quickly.
However, a little bit of research shows this service in a different light and I would absolutely steer clear of them.
If you really want to use a service to grow your Instagram following, do some research. No, scratch that. Do a TON of research beforehand and pick a service that you can confidently say is safe to use and won’t just take your money and run.
